Enneagram Rap for Type Eight
This is a chant, a rap and an embodiment of how to increase your gifts and lower your challenges of each of the Enneagram types. This is the first in what will be an Enneagram Rap Series. If you know the Enneagram, you’ll recognize that this first rap is about Type Eight, The Leader.
The first section is for those of us who don’t have the Eight’s natural gifts. Use this rap to create the neural pathway for more for grounded, easy, natural self-confidence, to easily take a stand and speak up for yourself.
The next section is to lower the Eight’s challenge, or for any of us who don’t respond well when we’re hurt, angry feel betrayed, or something wrong or bad happens. This rap will give you some tips for dealing with those moments in a better, healthier, more effective way.
You can also customize this for yourself. Change the words, or combine a message from each section. You can have a rap that will raise the gift and lower the challenge for your personal use.
“What would that look like?”, you might ask!
Watch the video and you’ll actually see it! It could sound something like this:
I take a stand and speak gently from my heart.
I take a stand for ME, and I speak gently from my heart.
I speak gently from my heart as I take my stand.
“Taking a stand” (the first part) is useful for those of us who don’t do that naturally, who tend to NOT speak up, gently or otherwise, for those who tend to withdraw, hold it in, and never tell anyone what’s going on when they’re hurt or angry.
The “gentle” part of speaking up is important for those at the other end of this polarity; for those who raise their voices, slam doors and simply put, over-do it.
It’s the moments when we lose confidence or we get hurt or angry that we need something to shift the energy in our body, quickly!
Once you’ve created and trained a new neural pathway, when you need it, you no longer need to say the words out loud. Simply say them quietly in your mind. This energizes that neural pathway. It will change the energy in your body, and it WILL change how you think, how you feel, and how you respond to life.
And I want us all to have the best life possible. This will expedite the process!
