Let’s break it down.
In the realm of neuroscience, every thought, feeling, or action corresponds to a neural pathway, essentially a message transmitted from your brain throughout your entire body.
Picture it as the energy that accompanies your thoughts and feelings—the sensations and feelings your body is having at any given moment.
As a conscious leader, entrepreneur, or individual, being aware of your thoughts, feelings, decisions, and their impact on others is crucial.
If your current mental and emotional state isn’t serving you well, the good news is you can change it by altering the energy in your body.
Recognizing your body’s experience is pivotal because it can serve as a guide for intentional interactions, wise decision-making and the actions you take.
The moment you notice a limiting thought or feeling, pay attention to the energy you are embodying. Is it a contraction in your stomach, a fiery anger in your gut, a sense of being small or out of alignment?
The next step is to change what you are embodying.
Begin by answering the question: “Who’s the me I want to be, especially when I’m challenged?”
Once you have your answer, shift the energy in your body to reflect that desired state.
Here’s a quick guide:
• Expand if your body feels contracted.
• Soften explosive energy by focusing on your heart and speaking gently.
• Align your head, heart, and body centers.
• Anchor yourself and stand tall if you’re feeling insignificant.
Leadership entails growth, and growth requires change.
To embrace change effectively, we must expand our emotional vocabulary, becoming more courageous, confident, in tune with the needs of the moment while fostering inner peace.
